Total Artificial Heart

A total artificial heart is used if you have biventricular heart failure. A total artificial heart replaces the two ventricles and the four heart valves. This implanted device is used if all other options have failed and you are waiting for a heart transplant (or you’re not eligible for a heart transplant).
