Lisinopril belongs to a group of medications called ACE inhibitors. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and in children 6 years of age and older. It works by relaxing blood vessels, causing them to widen. High blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems. This medication is also used after an acute heart attack to improve survival, and is used with other drugs (e.g., "water pills"/diuretics, digoxin) to treat congestive heart failure.

Overall: I take Lisinopril along with 19 other Rx's or over the counter drugs. There are a lot of drugs I have allergic reactions of can't tolerate. I guess that's why there are so many different drugs. It's not a one size fits all problem.By
Overall: Although it does its job very well, it made me so sick I could hardly function. I had to be taken off of it.By
