Ablation Procedures

Ablation procedures are performed on patients who have an irregular heartbeat. Very small catheters are inserted into the patient’s blood vessels and inserted into the heart. The cardiologist determines which area(s) of the heart are beating irregularly. The catheters send electrical pulses into the affected area of the heart to destroy the problem areas and correct an irregular heartbeat.
