Has anyone seen my clothes?!?

I'm wondering if "disappearing wardrobe syndrome" is part of having CHF. I know that every time I go into the hospital, significant chunks of my wardrobe disappear. Once, I had nine work outfits ready to wear on the job. Then, I went into the hospital and came home to just two work outfits. The other seven simply disappeared! The day before yesterday I washed two loads of laundry. It took a little bit of time before I could get the first load from the washer and — you guessed it — the entire load of wet (but clean!) clothes disappeared! There are five other adults in this house and none of them know anything about these disappearances! Maybe they're getting lost in my enlarged left ventricle?

Hmmm. It's a little early for it, but this sounds more like an April Fools prank.

It seems that CHF might affect memory (though I don't know of any particular studies), but this sounds way more drastic than forgetting where you put your clothes. And there's hardly room, even in a massively enlarged left ventricle to hold a load of clothes. Besides, who would have put them there, and how? ;-)

Thanks, Bob! I can always count on you for good analysis. But, if it's an April Fool's prank, it might be the longest-running one since this has been going on for about three years, now! Still, "prank" might be a concept worth considering. Now, to think like a prankster … hmmmmm …
