Hello, crazymom865! As you can see, I'm Gulcherboy, but most people call me Joe. (Mostly because that's my name, I suppose!) I've had a heart attack and a stroke, although no one is sure when these things happened. (I'm betting 2007-2008 or so.) My BP has been as high as 210/180-something but now it's controlled with medication. It's been in the neighborhood of 120/80, which is a really nice turn of events for me. I had uncontrolled HBP from the late 90s to just a few years ago and next week I get to return to my eye doctor to see if I have glaucoma from those years of struggling with it. :-(

Hi Crazymom856, I'm Bob. I had a nearly-fatal heart attack in 2005 at the age of 59, and I'm now doing very well. My blood pressure then was controlled to about 120/80 by medication. Now it's usually around 95/60. Better and more medications brought it down to about 110/75, but exercise (mostly walking), deep breathing, and diet (mostly vegan and low sodium) have made a big difference.

Hi crazymom856.... I'm Lois, I've got heart disease, and doing very well. My first heart event was when I was 47 years old. It took me and my family by surprise. I'm also the advocate of Lifelong Health another site on here. How are you?
