Familial Hypercholesterolemia: Anyone got it? FDA just approved new drug for it.

The FDA just approved a new drug called lopitamide for Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) which is a genetic condition marked by excessive high LDL cholesterol (like over well over 300 mg/dL). It is very rare so not many drug companies work on cures (no money in it).

Anybody here have FH? How do you treat it (apheresis perhaps)?
