Does anyone know anything about Marfans Syndrome and whether or not it can be treated/cured?

Marfans is due to a genetic irregularity and cannot be cured but can be successfully treated. It has many manifestations but the primary cardiac symptoms are weakened heart valves and fragile arteries. For example, aortic aneurysms are common in Marfans.

Fortunately, these heart symptoms are easy to detect which allows treatment to begin earlier - but you have to take the tests. Echocardiograms are one of the prinary tests used and are fast, non-invasive, and relatively inexpensive. Talk to your doc about it!

Here is a good website to check out.
