All statins are HMGCoA reductase inhibitors. This whole class of drugs can cause various degress of myopathy (muscle pain). In some cases they can trigger rhabdomyolysis a rabid destruction of muscle tissue that can be fatal. Statins are also known to inhibit CoQ10 production which all muscles need to function which is why takinbg supplemental CoQ10 can often relieve the pain.

I take Pravachol . I have the least amount of side effects with it. All of the others caused muscle pain. One was so bad I couldn't walk taking it.

Good to hear from you again. How have you been? Yup, everyone reacts differently to different statins. Which one was it that gave you the most problems?
