A new study published in the August 2012 issue of Optometry and Vision Science found a link between statin use and the early development of cataracts.
The theory behind this link is that fact that your eye lenses require high cholesterol to maintain lens transparency and that increased cataract formation has been seen in both animals and humans with hereditary cholesterol deficiency.
If anyone here has developed cataracts after using statins it would be interesting if you could tell the community the whats statin you are using, what dose you take, and how long after stating the statin you developed a cataract.
