I have been feeling on and off my heart shaky/vibrating and some flutters/papiltations. Any feedback?

cat,

If you had a clean 21-day holter then I think you can cross off dangerous arrhythmias as a source of physical problems or anxiety issues! We all have what are called "ectopic" beats from time to time and some (like me) have them every day - sometimes several times per day. Yeah, it still weirds me out but I now understand it and do not fear it like I used to.

HH,

Yes I guess I have to learn to live with it.

cat,

Heh, I drank too much caffeine today (two 20 oz. Diet Mountain Dews) and am having those weird chest fellings like crazy! I take my pulse to check and verify the feelings are skipped beats. Funny though, two glasses of wine seemed "cure" me. I have no doubt that anxiety, poor sleep, caffeine, and a host of other things contribute to my funky heart beats - yet every day I wake up fine! OK, some days not so fine but I do wake up, lol!

HH,

That's why I stay away from caffeine. Not even decaf or green tea. I miss it so much. Today I had do much heart papiltations and pain under my left and right breast and tightness.

cat,

Decaf should not be a problem for you. Why do you suppose it is? It might help to simply go to the emergency room with chest pain concerns. I used to do it regularly until I got my anxiety concerns addressed.

cat,

Sounds like you may need a Holter monitor to determine if the cause is simple anxiety or some common arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation, or even some benign arrhythmia such as Premature Atrial Contractions (PACs). I have PACs all the time and they really weirded me out at first but now they are no problem with proper physical and mental treatment. Ask you doc about it.
