Yes, we all have them, stories aboiut how health insurers have complicated our lives or made them outright miserable. We recently had a little sidebar on the issue in another discussion so I thought I would move it to its own discussion.
Want to bear your soul and commiserate? Share your health insurance nightmares right here - or perhaps even a story of a victory or a company that actually helped. Let's find out who has been naughty and nice! It may not solve the problem but I'll bet you will feel better after venting!
For example, what do you do when an iinsurer demands proof that a baby lives in your home before they will honor the coverage you bought and paid for? Exactly what document can you send that proves where someone lives when they have no formal ID or get no mail - when the only document you do have is a birth ceritificate with the HOSPITAL'S address? Are these guys idiots or what?
