tired.

There are many sources of chest and thoracic pain like pleurisy, heart burn, esophigial hernia, etc. in addition to true heart pain. But, they all need to be checked out!. It is very reassuring to understand what is causing the pain especially when it is not true heart pain.

It is always cause for additional concern when chest pain is accompanied by other symptoms like dizziness and shortness of breath. Here are some good info sources about recognizing heart pain.

Redorangedog, When you have chest pain it is time to go to call 911. They are equipped to handle cardiac emergencies with oxygen, a cardiac monitor and emergency medicines and a defibrillator if it is necessary to save your life. There is nothing sadder than hearing someone say, " I wish I would have called 911, Mother could have been here today." Why not call for help? It would be great news to hear that you did not need life saving measures. Red
