There have been studies done that there is a significant increase in heart attacks once the holidays start. Here is an article that talks more about the risks and the studies done.

What are you going to do this holiday season to be proactive so that you don't stress out to the point of bringing on a heart attack? Do yourself and your family a favor and take the time to make a plan so that you don't get too stressed out.

For thanksgiving I try to precook as much as possible so there is very little huslte and bustle the day of Thaksgivig
For Christmas I always start shopping early in the year and then the week before xmas my husband I go to Portland for the weekend to finish the shopping, we wrap everythig right at the hotel and I also full the stocking while there. We delivery the preset on the way home, what goes to our house can go right under the tree. Then all I have to do is cook dinner and hang the stockings. Sit back and enjoy. We have been doing it this way for over 15 years.
