The original alerts about Simvastatin at the 80 mg dose. Now there are additional alerts about myopathy and taking simvastatin with other drugs.

You can read more here.

Anyone here has a bad reaction to simvastatin?

I have been taking simvastatin 40 mg for years. The doctor prescribed it along with my diabetic meds as he said I couldn't mee the cholesterol goals without it after they lowered the goal to 150 from 200. I have never had problems and certainly have what the doctors say are good numbers with a total of 137, HDL 47, LDL 54, and triglycerides at 85.

Those are pretty good numbers. Sounds like a little niacin might help too (ask doc) with raising HDL and lowering TGs a little. Can't complain about the LDL - it's outstanding! Not everyone is going to have a problem with simvastatin so if you have no bad symptoms you are likely in good shape.
