Yesterday morning I had my first Heart Attack at church. I also have Epilepsy. In the middle of my heart attack, I had a seizure. I'm only 29 yo, and so scared right now. I exercise and eat healthy. What else can I do too prevent a 2nd heart attack?

Welcome to HeartConnect!

I had a co-worker who also had his first heart attack at 29 after a day of rigorous water-skiing! You are right it, is tremendously scary but the good news is there are far more ways to prevent and even reverse heart disease today than when my friend was 29.

The first step is to find out why you had a heart attack in the first place. One of the leading causes for heart attack at a young age is high lipoprotein(a) which is my main problem. Here is an article I wrote on the subject.

And here is another about the first steps you should take after learning you have heart disease.

You might also look into heart disease reversal programs like those offered by Dr. William R. Davis or Dr. Bill Blanchet. The younger you are the easier it is to reverse!

Finally, make certain your doctor provides an answer as to why you had a heart attack and the exact type, nature, and location of your heart attack. If you have more questions at that point just ask them right here!
