congestive heart faillure

since 2003, under care of good heart doctor. 4 stents, single by-pass, no vein removed, and just recently venous vein surgery. been on same med's,except one with by-pass. i eat only wheat bread, cook w, cannola/olive oil, and butter with either in, mostly skinned chick, and wild caught salmon,beef twice a month, greek yoguart, apples and other fruits. my health has allowed me to in "09" &"10" to travel to 9 countries, 2 twice. i have a young at heart feeling, this is what keeps me going. when i think something isn't right , see dr.,right away. also go to ymca. at dr.'s, office seeing a nutrient lady, lost few pds. a year ago,was about 228,now 211, just learn to downsize food, eat desserts , when eating out once & awhile, also i get the darkest chocolate bars for my heart, take cq10 & fish oil with my meds. keep a good outlook on your self and you will feel better,my dr. says i'm his best patient. plockwood/orlando,fla.

Redorangedog, Whole wheat bread with 12 grams of fiber per slice is available at my organic bakery. It is possible to purchase wholesome whole wheat bread for the bread eaters. You must read the nutritional content.

Sounds like you are on a heart-healthy program. I would caution about the wheat bread. Except for possibly some additional fiber it is not much healthier than white bread!
