tank,

Wow, warfarin, plavix and aspirin! The definitive reference on anti-thrombotic therapy can be found at

http://www.heartconnect.com/news-articles/243-antithrombotic-therapy-in-peripheral-arterial-occlusive-disease

It is a dry clinical read but it covers just about everything. The following study also looks at bleeding risk for the triple combination therapy you use.

http://www.heartconnect.com/news-articles/242-aspirin-clopidogrel-amp-warfarin-combo-raises-bleeding-risk

Good background info for the next time you talk with your doc!

I AM ON NOT ONLY THE 1 MG ASPIRIN, BUT PLAVIX AND WARFARIN ALSO. I HAVE HAD ONE BAD BLEED THAT i COULD NOT STOP AND MY SISTER WHO IS A DOG GROOMER, TOOK ME INTO THE LADIES ROOM, GRABBED A LENGTH OF PAPER TOWEL AND TIED IT TO MAKE A TOURNIQUET. SHE HAS DONE THIS FOR DOGS WHEN IT WAS NECESSARY. (AND NOT BECAUSE SHE CUT THEM, BUT FOR OTHER REASONS.)

Low dose no, but I do take 325mg aspirine daily. i've been on that for about 4 years now. I can't use the standared blood thinners so the cardio dr. has me taking this dose. I do have to watch myself when working outside or with tools, I do tend to bruise easy and if I cut myself I will bleed more than most. Hope this helps.
