Many of us take or have taken (I have) selenium as a supplement for various health conditions. There was concern, that, contrary to some claims, selenium actually raised cholesterol instead of lowering it.
This new study answers the question.
So, it looks like it is OK to keep taking selenium and it may even have a beneficial effect on cholesterol.
