We all come from different backgrounds and have different needs when it comes to living with or helping a loved one who lives with this health condition. But we are all looking for something or else we wouldn't be here.

How did you find your way here to our community?

I am a member of diabetic connect and had to have a bypass due to the diabetes so when I saw this site I joined in hopes of getting more information.

Good question! It's been so long ago that I don't really remember! I know I was one of the first people on this site, and I think I responded to an invitation, but other than that, it's just a blur - lol. But it is always good to read other people's stories and successes, and tips and info, so that's why I'm here!

After learning that there were many sites now available through the DC Community. I joined to learn more about a-fib, which I have, and to be more informesd about my heart and what I can do to protect my heart.

I was diagnosed with a right bundle branch block, and I wanted to know about how it was going to affect my life. I was (and still am, to some degree) scared. It's been so helpful to read discussions and tips from the advocates and others on this site. I also joined the Depression Connect and Obesity Connect groups. It's nice to be able to be supported by group members, and to be able to offer support to others.
