High Blood Pressure Meds and Cancer Risk: What do you take?

A new set of studies have refuted the claim that certain high blood pressure meds increase cancer risk - especially lung cancer


For those on high blood pressure meds, what are you taking and what side-effects have you noticed?

I was taking Diovan just last week dr, had me swich to Metoprolol. BP still 150/110.

Looks like you were switched from an ARB (Angiotensin Receptor Blocker) to a beta-blocker. Both are common BP reducing medicines. ACE Inhibitors and diuretics are other classes commonly used that you can inquire about if your BP doesn't respond.

It's been 2 weeks just got back from the drs today it's 120/88 that's the lowest I've been in a couple of years. Thank you for info.

I have to say my BP is still doig good for me it's staying at 120's over low 70's my dr's is happy with that considering how high it's been in the past.
