Clay,
Great questions again (I'll start a discussion). Macular degenaration is often seem in heart disease patients as both conditions have to do with poor arterial and samll vessel health. Also, it is possible to suffer cerebral hypoxia (loss of oxygen to the brain) during heart attack that affects the vision center. I have read of people going blind afetr a heart attack and other various stages of vision loss - some permanent. Of course, there is also the well-documented story of one person who was blind for years then suddenly regained their vision after a heart attack. The bottom-line is we all respond differently to heart attacks and just about everything else.
